A Harvest for a Wedding Feast!

We are really excited about this weekends wedding festivities!  Julie & Dan are getting married on Saturday and we couldn't be more thrilled for them.  And talk about a fabulous menu!!! Their guests are in for a real treat! Julie popped over for a quick hello yesterday and I had to get a photo of her next to some of the harvest!

We've been busy harvesting for the caterer, Living Room Events.  There will be tons of our farm grown produce featured throughout the meal.  Starting with a delicious specialty cocktail, Sage Rush, featuring sage harvested from the orchard.  The passed hors d'oeuvres will include a plethora of heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes picked from the fields and turned into grilled freeform pizzettas with just-made mozzarella and watermelon & tomato gazpacho shooters! to name a few!!!

The dinner will start with a delicious salad of garden lettuces with Bear Flag Farm white peaches, artisanal goat cheese & almonds. YUM!  This course will segue into grilled leg of lamb with a "salsa" of cherry tomatoes from the farm or a fabulous mustard honey grilled chicken with a lemon basil sauce!

But... the triumph of the evening's meal will be the incredible dessert station featuring farm-fresh blackberry crisps and peach galette topped with organic vanilla bean ice cream or whipped creme fraiche!  I have a feeling this will be another unforgettable meal.
